With this win, Punjab Kings stayed in the hunt for the playoffs, while their victory helped Delhi Capitals to cement the top four spot. The Kolkata Knight Riders captain blamed the dropped catches after losing the match.“Initially, we didn’t field as well, put catches down. Myself early too. We probably had a par score on the wicket. The Kings played well, we fought back, but catches have cost us,” Morgan told the broadcaster after the match. On the controversial Rahul Tripathi’s catch, which was ruled out by the third umpire, Morgan said it looked out in real-time.“I thought in real-time that the Tripathi catch was out. But when you slow it down, the third umpire decides otherwise. We got on with it once he made his call,” he said.“Hopefully we play hard in the back end, get a few results and qualify into the playoffs.”Punjab Kings will be up against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday at Sharjah, while Kolkata Knight Riders will be up against SunRisers Hyderabad in Dubai on the same day.Click here for our site’s complete coverage of the coronavirus pandemic.
